7 August to 8 October 2010
This exhibition tells the story of four of Dorset’s early Norman castles, in Dorchester, Bridport, Shaftesbury and Wareham and the recent investigations undertaken to discover more about them.
The exhibition was researched and curated by Dorset Castles Research Group (DCRG). Established in 2004, the DCRG is a group of volunteer enthusiasts dedicated to researching and publishing details of castles built in historic Dorset between the Norman conquest in 1066 and the signing of Magna Carta in 1216. Why not find out more about the DCRG and how you too could get involved.
The research and production of this exhibition was funded by the Awards For All scheme of the Heritage Lottery Fund.
