The Dorset County Museum and the Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society hosts a lively programme of events, including lectures, study days and concerts. With talks spanning the natural sciences, geology, reproduction bronze age food vesselsarchaeology, history, travel and literature there should be something to interest everyone. This season you can hear about life in Roman Dorchester, prehistoric landscapes or the effects of climate change on our flora and fauna. Our ever-popular Literary Series has now become an annual event, tackling a wide range of topics from Victorian poetry to the future of fiction. Visiting speakers include university lecturers, authors and experts. Events take place in the Museum's Victorian Hall, which seats up to 200 people.

Members of the Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society receive advance information on all these events. For more information about how to join the Society see our Membership pages.
