What is the Museum Club for?
The Museum Club was set up to provide an exciting junior membership scheme for young people up to the age of 15 who wish to become more involved with Dorset County Museum and to learn about its collections and resources. It also provides a special programme of organised activities designed to inspire, inform and entertain its members.

What can members do?
Club Membership allows younger people to explore the Museum on their own terms and to gain interesting insights through special 'behind the scenes' experiences. As these are often provided at times when the Museum is officially closed to other visitors, members can discover what really happens after everyone else has gone home!

Membership Pack
For 2007 we have totally updated Museum Club Membership by putting together a joining pack for new members. This includes a membership card, badge, postcards, flying Pterosaur glider and various Museum trails and quizzes, all contained in a smart blue pack.

How much does it cost?
Annual membership costs just £7.50 and is open to all children up to 15 years of age although most current members are between 8 and 12.

To join, just ask at Reception or come along to one of our Club activities and join on the day.

Meetings are normally held once a month on Saturday mornings

Members under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult during club events
