Crane arrives at Museum

The arrival of a huge crane to Dorchester has caused excitement and intrigue among the residents of the town who saw this week the 25 Metre crane slowly being assembled like a Meccano set over the skyline of High West Street.

Since work carried out by Acheson Construction has already seen completion on the footings for the foundations and the excavation of the basement of the new Museum has begun. Heavy duty equipment has been brought in and erected to help in manoeuvre building and structural materials on and off safely, due to the confined constraints of the construction sites.
